Good morning lovely TCW people!
Today I have captioned my art journal page “No thinking…only doing!” … Just start ctreating by randomly painting some paint across a blank art journal page… then make it work!
Come and watch me create in exactly this way, using TCW stencils in my art journal. Flowers and text together in green… lots of fun!
– The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own –
Supplies by The Crafter’s Workshop:
- TCW900 – Dahlia Trio
- TCW5016 – Quattrefoil
- TCW9011 – Matte Gel Medium
- TCW9052 – Super Thick Gel Medium
If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.
…here is how the page came together…
1 – Begin with a dark green, almost black paint on the left and lime green acrylic on the right. Paint them randomly across the page and mix the paint in the middle
2 – Mix TCW9052 – Super Thick Gel with the same deep green acrylic and another batch of TCW9052 Super Thick Gel with turquoise acrylic paint
3 – Using TCW900 – Dahlia Trio stencil through with the TCW9052 – Super Thick Gel mixed and again, mix the colors while stenciling in the middle.
4 – Take some printed collage tissue with type on it and adhere on the left of the page and again on the right with TCW9011 – Matte Gel Medium
5 – To blend in the edges of the paper, use TCW5016 – Quattrefoil and light gray or mineral blue acrylic to stencil across the page edges and blend across the edges of the collage tissue.
6 – Finally, add splats in fluorescent green, some extra depth to the background with a layer of watercolor over the stenciling and some white gel pen 5 point flowers clustered on the dark parts of the page.
I do hope you have enjoyed this walkthrough of my page and the video. Hopefully, it gives you some inspiration to create your own page using either TCW900 – Dahlia Trio or TCW5016 – Quattrefoil
Until next time… have fun!
