Home Decor: Happy Halloween

Happy Friday. I walked into my local craft store and found a bin full of unfinished wood pieces all for $1 each!! Most of it was broken but I found all of these pieces to create a Halloween sign.

Here is the list of my supplies:

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

To start I painted all the pieces with black gesso. While they are drying, I took some Shimmery Goodness and mixed it with ColorSparx.

I added the Spider’s Web stencil to the to the largest piece using the Shimmery Goodness. Its not perfect and that’s okay to me.

I then covered the Spider’s Web with black acrylic paint and let it dry. Once it dried, I used sandpaper to remove some of the black paint.

I painted the signage and the spiders in a mixture of yellow and gold acrylic paint. I put it all together to look like this.

You can see I also added the spider’s web to the sides of the piece too. It’s nice and bright and ready for my door.

We would love to see your art journal pages. Share them with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
