Hello everyone!
Marie-Christine with you today with a new Art Journal tutorial. This time, let’s go for a walk in the forest and discover the nature around us. I love this season and its vibrant colors! Here I chose some beautiful stencils, TCW922 Etheral, TCW870 Fir Branch, TCW515 Pinecones, TCW578 Whimsical Shrooms, TCW554 Butterfly Collage, TCW905 Leaf Emblem.
***THE CRAFTER’S WORKSHOP PROVIDED ME SOME PRODUCTS TO CREATE THIS PROJECT.THE OPINIONS I SHARE ARE SOLELY MY OWN.***

I start by making the background with some brown Distress Oxide.

I spray some water with my favorite Spritz Bottle on the Distress Oxide.

When that is dry I put some text on the top of the page with TCW922 Etheral and darker brown ink.

I apply TCW9036 Champagne Gold Modeling Paste on TCW905 Leaf Emblem and flip it over to different places on the page, repeating the technique a few times.

With this technique, the outlines of the stencils do not need to be perfectly printed on the page, this is what gives a natural effect. Most of the time, imperfection in mixed media has its charm!
Here you can see the imperfection of the print stencil on the page.

I use TCW870 Fir Branch and TCW554 Butterfly Collage with TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste to give texture to the page.

I color the texture once it is dry with watercolor paint.

Then, I use TCW515 Pinecones and Distress ink to decorate the page.

On TCW9051 watercolor paper and TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste , I make a pinecone and some mushrooms with TCW515 Pinecones and TCW578 Whimsical Shrooms. I color them and cut them out. I assemble them with images cut from scrapbooking paper on the bottom left of the page. I add the title.
