Spring – Mixed Media Board Project

full finished media board

Today I am having fun bringing you some Spring from my art table. A sweet, sunny floral to brighten your day. As we, in Australia head into winter…. it is just what I needed!

– The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own –

On today’s page, I used three great stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop:  TCW905 – Leaf Emblem, TCW887 – Old Circle Grate and TCW920 – Tropical Fronds

I also used TCW9053 – Mixed media Board as my substrate & TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste

There are a few bits and pieces to get this page assembled. The process video brings it all together for you. Captions are included to let you know what products used.

Step-by-step

1 – Brush acrylic paint, in turquoise, diagonally across the media board. Flick some Dina Wakley Lime Gloss Spray onto the board.

2 – Use TCW905 – Leaf Emblem and spray Dina Wakley Gloss Spray in fuschia through the stencil.

3 – Using the same stencil along with TCW9004 – Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste. Stencil through the centre of the stencil to create a textured flower. Cut out and dry.

4 – Spray with Gloss Sprays in lemon and pink to decorate. Dry thouroughly

5 – Using TCW887 – Circle Grate onto Grafix Arts Dura-Lar film. Stencil through in yellow and green. Cut out.

6 – Next onto Dura-lar film again, stencil though TCW920 – Tropical Fronds using just one of the leaves. Cut out the stenciled leaf and a blank in the same shape.

7 – write SPRING onto the blank leaf and score the stenciled leaf down the middle to give it a grease

8 – Assemble all pieces, as shown in the video, onto the TCW9053 – Mixed Media Board

I do hope you have enjoyed this little touch of Spring. Perhaps you can give your own spring-themed media board project a go.

Have a great day!
