Hello All!

For those of you who might not know, I am a mom to 3 amazing kiddos and with it being winter, they tend to get a little stir-crazy being cooped up inside all the time. Well, last week we had a weird “warm spell” of 2-3 days of 60 degree weather…in January!

My littles wanted to go out and play, but I wanted to play in my art journal, so I made a little “outdoor kit” of art supplies, including some of my favorite TCW stencils…and…I sat on a hay bale. LOL.

I started by using by “Dartboard” stencil and “Mallard” Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.

I then added some orange Faber Castel Gelato using the 6×6 “Brick Stencil.” I rubbed the stick directly through the stencil and then used my finger and little water to move it around.

Here is my completed base, after I added some pink and yellow gelato!

Thankfully…it was time to go inside!

After I gave my pages overnight to dry, I got to have some fun.

Here is my finished journal pages.

I was able to add some fun circles, washi tape and the saying “Think Happy…be Happy”, as well as draw and paint a sassy redhead.

Even with all of the layers on top, you can still see my stencils in the background. I also added some gray gelato through the 6×6 “Numbers Collage.”
