Pretty butterfly zippered pouch

Happy New Year, everyone! Today I’m sharing one of those projects that feels like it will never work but, by continuing to experiment with more layers and tools, finally looks great in the end!

So a new art supply holder was born. The idea for this design was to layer the Painted Lady stencil over the Daisy Chain stencil to create patterns in the wings. However, the acrylic paint colors that I choose were too transparent for the black fabric. In hindsight, I would have laid down a layer of white first but now I know!

I also added more white to the background to further pop the butterfly.

Thanks for joining me today…
