Art Journal Page – Bloom

Hello TCW Crafters!!

Back into the art journal today, featuring TCW983 Apple Blossom in both sizes, along with painting with stencil butters. Hope you enjoy what I created!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

The Crafter’s Workshop products used within this page:

TCW983 – Apple Blossom
TCW9068 – Marigold Stencil butter
TCW9067 – Gamboge Stencil butter
TCW9061 – Chartreuse Stencil butter
TCW9064 – Turquoise Stencil butter
TCW9066 – Orchid Stencil butter
TCW9065 – Fuchsia Stencil butter
TCW9002 – Black Gesso

If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…

1 – Start with a new blank journal page and paint across with a variety of TCW stencil butters colors.

2 – Using TCW983 Apple Blossom in its largest size stencil through with TCW9002 Matte Black Gesso to entirely cover the page leaving the shimmery stencil butter colours to show through the TCW983 Apple Blossom stencil design

3 – Leave the page aside to dry. Now stencil through the smaller size of TCW983 Apple Blossom, you can use any left over papers that you have. I used old overspray papers I had at hand. Stencil through using TCW9065 Fuchsia Stencil butter.

4 – Repeat this process three times and dry all three thoroughly before fussy cutting all three out. .

5 -Arrange the smaller flowers across the page and attach. Edge all the smaller flower sprays with black posca marker and add some detail to the texture aswell

6 – Using Prismacolor pencils make a million small marks around the page creating some movement

7 – Hand letter a sentiment of a word once again using pencil

I do hope you have enjoyed this mixed media art journal project. Hopefully it gives you a little inspiration to use some of The Crafter’s Workshop products in your next projects.

Enjoy!
