Mixed Media Journal Tags

Good morning TCW Crafters,

A set of simple and bright tags for my journal using two pretty new release stencils. I hope you like what I have created today…. Please enjoy!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

The Crafter’s Workshop products used within this page:
TCW984 – Dogwood Pair
TCW983 – Apple Blossom

If you enjoy seeing a page materialise quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here’s how it all came together…

1 – Start with some large white shipping tags. Using TCW983 – Apple Blossom, stencil through with acrylic paint. Use darker colours at the bottom of the tags and transition to lighter colour at the top of the tag. This should leave you with a crisp white image.

2 – Repeat this stencilling with both TCW983 – Apple Blossom and TCW984 – Dogwood Pair in various different colourways.

3 – Once the stencilling is complete, outline the flower with coloured pencil to add clarity to the image. Add some small random marks to the bottom section of the tag to create interest.

4 – Using your favourite quotes, either typed of printed, add some quotes to the top of the tags

5 – These can have ribbons added to use for gift tags or could be used within junk journals to add colour. I often use tags within my journal as a tip-in, to add a list, or just to do some quick writing on the backside of the tags

I hope these floral tags bring a smile to your face and a bit of inspiration to get you sitting at your craft table! Would love to see what you create with all the new release stencils and butters from The Crafter’s Workshop.

Enjoy!
