Going for an aged, vintage look within my journal today. Taking a little bit of inspiration from some previous projects. Using wonderful stencil butters and stencils thanks to The Crafter’s Workshop. Featuring another of my favourite stencils (TCW944 -Monarch Journal). Hope you enjoy what I create today!

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…
1 – Using a small Dina Wakely kraft journal, I stick down some vintage ledger paper using TCW9011 – Matte Gel Medium
2 – Stencil through TCW944 – Monarch Journal stencil with gold stencil butters. I have used TCW9080 – Champagne Stencil Butter and TCW9037 – Grecian Stencil Butter but TCW9038 – Antique Stencil Butter would also work well to give some variation to the colour.
3 – Dry thoroughly. Pool watercolours across the stencilling in vintage and aged colours. Browns, Payne’s Grey and deep turquoise to represent the tarnish of copper.
4 – Dry thoroughly and add a vintage styled sentiment. Edge the page with Archival ink pad in grey.
