Mixed Media Art tags – Relax

Good morning TCW Crafter’s

Relax and enjoy!

Today, I make some bright and cheery tags with stencils and modeling paste from The Crafter’s Workshop. I am still really enjoying embossing and love how a stenciled image looks when heat embossed. I hope you like what I have created…. Please enjoy!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

The Crafter’s Workshop products used within this page:

TCW2332 – Daisy Spread slimline stencil
TCW2431 – Beach Rules sign stencil
TCW9009 – Black modelling paste
TCW9025 – Plastic Palette knife

If you enjoy seeing a page materialise quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…

1 – Start with some blank shipping tags. Any brand but I have just used plain Avery brand in this tutorial

2 – Using TCW2332 – Daisy Spread slimline stencil and Versamark embossing ink, stencil through onto the tag. Only cover about 2/3 of the tags surface leaving the right hand side blank.

3 – With colourful embossing powders add two toning colours of embossing powder to the ink and heat emboss until all the powder has melted leaving a beautiful enamelled effect. Repeat for all the tags using a variety of pairs of colours.

4 – Once the embossing is dry, grab stencil TCW2431 – Beach Rules (or any other word stencil from TCW – perhaps TCW623 – Life words or TCW585 – Inspired words) Stencil through a single word from this stencil with TCW9009 – Black modeling paste. Dry the entire tag before moving forward.

5 – Using Dina Wakley Media splatter a variety of toning colours across the tag

6 – Add a black and white stamped butterfly above the lettering and a thin black satin ribbon tie.

I hope these bright tags brings a smile to your face and a bit of inspiration to get you sitting at your craft table! would love to see what you create with the fab stencils and modelling pastes from The Crafter’s Workshop.

Enjoy!
