Good Morning all! Helen here with some messy finger painting fun for today! Stencil Butters are perfect for this project; they are so creamy and spread so smoothly! And the colors … well… they are just gorgeous! I picked 3 colors for today, but you can use as many as you like.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own.
The Crafter’s Workshop Products Used:
- TCW9002 Black Gesso
- TCW9064 Stencil Butter Turquoise
- TCW9067 Stencil Butter Gamboge
- TCW9068 Stencil Butter Marigold
- TCW944 Monarch Journal Stencil
- TCW9001 White Gesso
- TCW2165 Ombre Dots Stencil
To start, I applied a thin layer of TCW9002 Black Gesso to a black journal page using a brush. The gesso helps the stencil butters to flow smoothly in the next step, as well as wiping off some later!
I then used TCW9064 Stencil Butter in Turquoise, TCW9067 Stencil Butter in Gamboge and TCW9068 Stencil Butter in Marigold and applied blobs of these to my page. I finger painted it and mixed it around until I was happy with the result.
Before the Stencil Butters dried, I laid down TCW944 Monarch Journal Stencil over different areas and wiped away some of the stencil butter using a baby wipe.
Once this dried, I used a white pen to outline some of the stenciled areas. Then using TCW2165 Ombre Dots Stencil, and some TCW9001 White Gesso, I used a sponge to make dots here and there over my page.
To finish my spread, I added some washi tape to the bottom of my photo, a sentiment and done!
Aren’t those butters just so yummy??
I do hope you will take a few minutes to play today…. And you have a chance to finger paint with TCW Stencil Butters!
