One Stencil Lots of Layers

Happy Friday! I love to challenge myself by using only one stencil to create a background and a focal point on a piece of art, art journal page or tags. To create this piece I used a 6×6 Mixed Media Board, TCW984 Frame Flowers, TCW9067 Gamboge Stencil Butter, and lots of acrylic paints.

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

To start my first layer I added the Framed Flowers stencil with white spray paint. If you look at the top corner of the mixed media board you can see it a little.

In the next pictures you’ll see I added the following to the background, Distress Oxide Inks, used the middle of the flower for dots, traced a flower on the board with a pencil, added more flowers from the stencil in orange and blue acrylic paint,

To add a pop of color I added the daisy from the stencil with Gamboge stencil butter and more pink paint.

When the stencil butter dried I added a few words to finish the piece.

Can you use just one stencil. I challenge you! Please share it with us!

If you use TCW Stencils, stamps and mediums in your art, we would love it see it. Please share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
