Hi!
This is Charmaine and I am here with my very first blog post for TCW. I love to make cards and am always looking for new ways to make stunning cards using different tools and mediums. Since slimline cards are all the rage these days, I thought I would show you how to make one using a 12 x 12 stencil.

TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with but the opinions and creations are my own.

Here is what I did:
Create the card base by cutting heavyweight cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. The card itself is made by scoring an 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock at 3 1/2″ and folding it in half. Cut off the excess paper to create a side folding card. Add color by blending distress oxide colors evenly over the whole card base.

Only stencil part of the words with the TCW261 Art Is stencil. Next, use the TCW384 Well Rounded stencil with gold pigment ink for some pazazz. Apply TCW Black Modeling Paste over the gorgeous TCW863 Sunflower Meadow stencil, covering the whole card.

Wait for the card to dry before adding finishing touches like a sentiment or word die.

Supplies I used today:
TCW863 Sunflower Meadow

TCW384 Well Rounded

Heavyweight 110lbs cardstock sized 8 1/2 x 3 1/2
