Hot Foil + Flocking Sheets – A Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! It’s Lindsay here from Crafting While Caffeinated blog and YouTube Channel! I am so excited to share today’s video tutorial because it uses one of my favorite products from The Crafter’s Workshop, the Hot Foil Gel. But instead of foiling, I’m adding flock for some fun texture! Be sure to watch the video tutorial below for all the details!

Tips for Using Hot Foil Gel with Flocking Sheets

Using hot foil gel with your flock sheets is a little different than foiling. First, you want to put the fuzzy side of the flock sheets AGAINST your gel. With foiling the shiny side, or the side you want to show, faces away from the foil. But it’s the exact opposite with the flock sheets, so keep that in mind!

Another thing, the foiling machine or laminator needs to be as hot as you can get it! I like to let mine heat up for at least 30 minutes. I also run the flock and paper through my machine twice.

Finally, when you foil, once you have ran it through your laminator the foil seems to release really easily. The flock needs a bit of pulling. Just forewarning!

I hope you all enjoyed a look at another way to use your hot foil gel along with your stencils! If you are interested in any of the TCW products I used, you can find them all listed below. Until next time, happy crafting!!
