Hello TCW friends
Today I am heading back to my zine-making days.
These little folded books are fun make and create in like a mini mixed media journal and oh so easy to set them up with some collage and stenciled background.
– The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own –
These are the stencils I used in this project
I also used TCW9001 – White Gesso and TCW9011 – Matte Medium
Of course, as usual, If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.
Here’s how the page came together:
1 – Starting with a blank sheet of copy paper, collage some random collage papers using TCW9011 – Matte Medium to the front to give it some strength
2 – Begin stenciling with TCW246 – Swiss Dots in Fuschia
3 – Add TCW5016 – Quattrefoil using a deep blue in random edge areas around the page
4 – TCW908 – Handcut Blossom is next in line, sprayed through with acrylic gloss spray in sky blue
5 – Stencil some different fronds from TCW548 – Herbarium with TCW9001 – White Gesso
6 – Using gel pens and fineliners doodle through TCW886 – Shape Landscape and TCW889 – Dash V
7 – A zine fold is shown in the video both at the beginning and at the end of the process. If you need to search “ZINE FOLDING INSTRUCTIONS” – Google will be able to help you out.
8 – From there I just had some fun creating on each page
Until next time… have fun!
