My Happy Dandelions: A Mixed Media Painting

Although the dandelions in my yard every summer are yellow, I love to see them in other colors.

I’m using a 11×14 piece of mixed media paper and I used painters tape all around the edges. I started my painting using paper letters from my scrap box to add texture to the page. I used TCW Matte Gel Medium to adhere them to the paper.

The Crafters Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

Next I added TCW9001 White Gesso on top of the of the letters and when it dried I started adding color to the background.

When I finished adding the color to my background I added TCW861 Happy Dandelions to the paper with TCW9005 White Modeling Paste.

When the modeling paste dried I painted the dandelions I lovely shade of pink and when the whole painting was dry I took off the painters tape to reveal a white boarder.

Here is my finished painting.
