I’m excited to come to you today with this absolutely grungy, textured, foiled, 3D project! It’s pretty simple to make but takes a bit of patience for each step to dry, but I promise it is worth it. I hope you enjoy.
View my full tutorial video here. The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
First, I primed my surface with White Gesso. I used the TCW925 Natures Circuitry stencil for the foiled background and the dragonfly. After the pigment was dry on the Ken Oliver watercolor board, I used the stencil with Tacky When Dry, let it dry and then rubbed the foil over top…it’s like magic!

The dragonfly was made with Marcasite Silver modeling paste on acetate. From an angle, you can see it flying off the background!

Finally, I used Clear Gesso mixed with mini art stones to create the delicious texture you see in the details.
