A mixed media journal spread with Mystical Tree stencil.

Hi Everyone,

Saadia here, with an art journal spread for you. I hope you like it.

A mixed media journal spread with acrylic paints, stencils by The Crafter's Workshop, texture products, acrylic mediums, gilding.
An art journal spread

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me the products to work with, but the opinions I share here, are solely my own.

I made this spread in my A4 size journal. I applied a layer of TCW9007 Clear Gesso to the pages and let it dry.

Next, I applied acrylic paints to the pages with a brush.

Did a little bit of background stenciling with TCW887 Circle Grate stencil and black acrylic paint.

Glued few paper circles with TCW9011 Gel medium matte.

Applied TCW9009 Black Modeling paste through the TCW814 Mystical Tree stencil.

Applied TCW9049 Tacky when dry gel through the TCW 814 Mystical Tree stencil and let it dry. It remains tacky when dry. Sprinkled some gilding flakes on the rim of the Mystical Tree and burnished it with a brush.

Did the same process for the stars. I first applied Tcw9049-tacky-when-dry-gel through the TCW922 Ethereal stencil, let it dry and then, sprinkled gilding flakes on the stars.

AppliedTacky when dry gel through the TCW stencils and sprinkled Gilding flakes. Close up view of the gilding.

Finished the spread by adding few quotes.
