Upcycling Trash Into Treasure by Nadine Carlier

Hello! Nadine here today sharing how I upcycled a box that was trash into a pretty treasure that can be used as a gift box, jewelry box or however you like. So often the packaging of things we buy can be used for so many other things that it is a shame to just throw them away.

The Crafter’s Workshop has provided me with some of the product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Upcycling A Box Into A Treasure

To create my upcycled box I first painted the box with two coats of the TCW9001 White Gesso. Once it was dry I then sprayed the sides with some color mist and sprayed a paper towel with the same color mist using one of the new Summer 2019 stencils, TCW871 Native Star. Then adhered it to the top of my box with TCW9006 Gel Medium.

Below is a video tutorial showing exactly how I created my project.

  1. I would never have thought of using kitchen roll like I use tissue paper! It’s quite effective isn’t it will have to have a go myself xx
