Heat Embossing with Stencils

Hi everyone! It’s Lindsay, from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog and YouTube Channel, here with you today sharing another video tutorial! I am always so excited to learn a new technique with stencils and stencils are so versatile, the techniques can literally be endless. However, sometimes it’s good to take it back to basics. Today, I’m sharing a super basic technique with a few variations – heat embossing with stencils. Be sure to watch the video tutorial below for all the details!!

Some supplies used today were sent to me free of charge for design purposes. I only ever design for companies I stand behind 100%!!

My first card is simple and I love the effect the heat embossing gives to this card. Almost like lace! I used the Growing Wild stencil along with white embossing powder on kraft cardstock.

On my second card I wanted to go really bright. I decided to use the Floral Spectacle stencil, again on kraft card stock, and heat emboss the stencil in rainbow colors! This is a fun technique, but it does take some time so be sure to use enough ink that it stays wet long enough.

My third background is my favorite and it’s so simple. It’s just gold embossing powder on kraft card stock, but I used two layers instead of one. The added dimension and shine honestly looks like foil! I absolutely love the effect this gives with the Fantastical stencil.

These backgrounds are so much fun to make and so simple! Heat embossing is a great technique to use with your stencils to stretch them even further! And if you are nterested in any of the supplies I used on my projects today, they are all listed and linked down below.

Happy Crafting!!
