Unlock your mind-An art journal spread

Hi everyone,

I want to share an art journal spread with you. I hope you like it and get inspired.

This is my first post for The Crafter’s Workshop blog. I am very excited and happy to be here.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with the products to work with but the opinions I share are solely my own

I made this journal spread in my Dylusions square journal. I applied a coat of white gesso to prime my page and let it dry.

Applied acrylic paints in warm colors with my fingers.

Next step was stenciling. I applied acrylic paints through TCW460 Ring Doily stencil with a make-up sponge.

Then, applied acrylic paints through TCW527 Word Association stencil. It has different words on it and can be used for cards, journals and other projects.

Third stencil was TCW384 Well Rounded. This is a great stencil for background texture. It has different designs and it is very versatile.

Next, I colored a chipboard clock and glued it. Added a sentiment and a paper doll from my stash.

The big wings on the paper doll are from Butterfly girl 1 stamp by Rubber Dance stamps.

Finished the spread by adding a little bit of journaling and paint splatters.
