Hello everyone! It’s Lindsay, from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog & YouTube Channel, here with you today and I am so excited to share two interactive cards with stenciled backgrounds! I LOVE making shaker cards. They are some of my favorite cards to hand out and always put a smile on the recipients face! They are also the first my kids pick to give to their friends, so I am CONSTANTLY making them. Once you get the hang of making shaker cards, they are pretty simple and can come together quickly, but sometimes I’m not sure what to do in my background. My go to is stencils, now! They are the perfect backdrop for my shaker cards and really make the great finishing touch that isn’t too much work. Be sure to watch the video tutorial below to see how I put these cards together!
**THE CRAFTER’S WORKSHOP SENT ME SOME OF THE PRODUCTS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL, HOWEVER, ALL OPINIONS EXPRESSED ARE SOLELY MY OWN! I ONLY DESIGN FOR COMPANIES I STAND BEHIND 100%!**
On my first card I used an alphabet die set. This makes it easy to make CUSTOM shaker cards! I especially love this idea to make fun kid’s card with their names. It really makes a fun little card to hang out! I loved making this monochromatic card with the Plaid Fringe stencil (one of my favorite stencils!)!!
My second card is using a more “traditional” sentiment die, which is super fun as well! I loved adding the stenciled background behind these shaker components to really help them pop! I added the Spanish Tile stencil for a nice bold look!
I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today! If you are interested in the stencils I used today, you can find them linked down below. Until next time, happy crafting!!
