Full of Possibilities Mixed Media Tag

Hi Everyone and happy Thursday!!! Farrel here to share with you all a mixed media tag I created. If you would like to watch me create this tag, please feel free to scroll to the bottom of the blog and my video will be there.

To begin my tag I used TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium to adhere a thicker cardstock to the tag and then applied a light coat of the medium to the tag. I used my heat tool to dry the medium and then sprayed Distress Oxide Sprays in Vintage Photo, Fossilized Amber, Walnut Stain and Cracked Pistachio onto my tag. Once the sprays are dry, I then give a little spritz with Distress Spray Stain in Faded Jeans.

I added some stamping to my background using Distress Archival Ink and 2 different stamp sets.

Next I used TCW764 Numbers Scramble stencil in the 6×6 and used a sponge dauber with Distress Archival ink. I focused my stenciling around the edges of the tag as my focal point is in the center of the tag.

The step I mixed some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Squirts into some Ranger crackle paste and using a palette knife I applied it through TCW790 Micro Bricks 6×6 stencil. I used my tool to dry the paste…. I love watching this stuff crackle!

I used my Sizzix Big Shots to cut out some gears and inked around the edges. Before adhering all my pieces to the tag, I splattered TCW9001 White Gesso by mixing a very small amount of water to the gesso.

Then adhered everything to my tag. Here are some more pictures of the end product

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I hope you like my video below.
