I came across this fun idea of a partial DIY project, where the wood pieces were cut out for you, and the embellishments were also included. The part that made it your own was the colors you painted the inserts and the final arrangement of the embellishments were all up you. Check out my version of this fun pocket frame.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Here is a video showing how I this fun pocket frame.
I painted the outside frame and the back insert with TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Paint, but for the frame I watered the paint down with a little gold mist and water to give it more of a wash look on the wood. for the back insert I also added the TCW792 Micro Dots with a grey ink for that fun grid look. I then painted the “HI” letters in TCW9015 Black Licorice Heavy Body Paint and glued them on the back panel to fit right in the middle of the cut out circle.
I painted the front insert with the TCW9014 Iridescent Silver Heavy Body Paint and then layered the pearl swirls, leaves, and felt flowers onto the front. This pocket frame is a great home decor piece that you can change out when ever you want to make a new insert!
