Altered Globe by Farrel Tailor

Hello TCW Fans!! I hope you are all well and have been busy creating. Today I am sharing with you all an altered globe I created for a class I taught whilst on a crafting cruise last month.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

So let me share with you on how I created this. I started by painting the countries on the globe using TCW9029 Copper Penny Modeling Paste. I wanted to add a little bit of texture so I dabbed with my paint brush in some areas. The globe I bought is from Kmart here in Australia.

Next I painted 2 coates of TCW9002 Black Gesso for the ocean areas and let dry.

In the meantime, I painted my chipboard pieces and flowers with TCW9002 Black Gesso and dried them using my heat tool.

I put a small amount of TCW9013 Iridescent Gold Heavy Body Paint onto my craft mat and spray with some water to make the make a little runny and then splattered onto my globe using a paint brush.

I also painted the butterflies using the TCW9013 Iridescent Gold Heavy Body Paint

Next I rubbed some art alchemy waxed over the flowers and chipboard pieces using a small paint brush and my finger.

The last step before adhering all the flowers and chipboard was to stencil onto the mini hot air balloon chipboard pieces. I used TCW771 Two Hearts 6×6 stencil and TCW9029 Copper Penny Modeling paste. I only used the mesh like pattern on this stencil. Once all my pieces were dry, I then adhered them to the globe using a strong liquid glue.

Here are some close ups

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed my tutorial oxox
