I created a mixed media piece using some great blues and greens to evoke a feeling of Spring…you know that feeling we all long for about this time of year? While we await that first crocus bud, let’s fill our pockets with LOVE, HOPE & LAUGHTER; it’ll help us through the cold & snow.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Supplies used:
6″ x 6″ TCW710s Endless Swirls Stencil

******************************************
Adhere green & ivory lattice paper to cardboard with Zip Dry adhesive. Miter corners and fold to back & adhere.
Distress with stiff brush and distress ink.
Tear pieces of Blue & Ivory Ribbon Stripe paper and spray with French Lime Glimmer Mist. Ink edges with ivory pastel fluid chalk ink. Adhere to background along with blue burlap.
Add design to white envelopes with Endless Swirls and Rose Garden stencils. Use foam spouncer to apply acrylic paints.
Age envelopes with distress ink and stiff brush.
At top of piece use eyelet setter to add eyelets. Use hemp cord, threaded through eyelets, to attach cotton cord to the piece.
Use French Lime Glimmer Mist to spritz and dye cheesecloth. Attach cheesecloth to the center of the blue ticking canvas flower with Fabri-Tac adhesive.
Attach envelopes to cord at top of piece with mini-clothespins. Attach canvas flower and third envelope to the bottom of piece. Add mini-clothespin to center of canvas flower. Cut words from “Garden Words on Ivory Reverse” Canvas Corp paper and adhere to the envelopes. Ink edges of finished piece with deep lagoon fluid chalk ink.
Using new stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop and craft products from Canvas Corp Brands made this piece so much fun to create.
