Hallo dear friends.
It is me, Marlene from ART BY MARLENE. I will be sharing my last project for 2016 with you! As the end of the year is in sight, I decided to put my new years intention on a little decorated wooden tile. For this project, I used stencils{ TCW2081/Radar Remnant & TCW356/Sally & Carly} and black and white gesso by The Crafter’s Workshop. Radar Remnant is not available, but can be replaced by either the radar on TCW523(stencil be in love) or TCW454(stencil specimen).

TCW Black Gesso

TCW356 Sally & Carly stencil

TCW523(stencil be in love)

TCW454(stencil specimen)
LET’S GET STARTED!
STEP 1

wooden block
STEP 2

Add a layer of TCW white gesso
STEP 3

While the gesso is wet, put some deli /decopatch paper directly on it and cover with a thin layer of gesso)
STEP 4

Use the mask from the Sally & Carly stencil and put it on your block
STEP 5

Use the fabulous TCW black gesso and a sponge to stencil around the outlines of the mask of the TCW 356(Sally & Carly) stencil.
STEP 6

Now stencil around your figure with a sparkly black paint. Use the Radar Remnant stencil(TCW2081 NOT AVAILABLE). If you are scared of stenciling onto your figure, just use your figure again to mask that area off. To replace the stencil use: “Stencil be in love” TCW523 or “stencil specimen” TCW454 for the radar effect!
STEP 7

Remove the stencil….this is what it will look like now.
STEP 8

Add your New Year’s intention to your wooden block and “age” the sides of the intention and of your block.
STEP 9

To finish the project off I used white string and a wooden heart(painted it red for a pop of colour).
THE FINISHED PROJECT:

Put your wooden tile in a gift box…give it to someone you love. “Share your light with others, it will multiply”
