Hi Everyone. I’m so glad you’re here.
Today, I’m going to show you what art supplies I bring on vacation.
I pack art supplies based on where I’m going. In May I was away for two weeks visiting family. They are all creatives and have their own art rooms so I knew I only needed supplies to play with on the plane and sitting in airports.
The Crafter’s Workshop stencils in the 6×6 size are perfect to travel with anywhere you go.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils to create these projects.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.
Here is my bag and all my supplies.
In my bag I carried, 35 (yes 35!) 6×6 TCW stencils including Bits, Fragments and Remnants, Neocolor Water soluble Pastels, miscellaneous bag of my favorite rubber stamps, two Ranger Archival Ink pads (Jet Black and Watering Can), Pigma Brush Fine Tip Pens, Faber-Castell Pitt Pens plus Big Brush pens, watercolor pencils, glue stick, water brush, pencil sharpener, Small Dylusions Journal, miscellaneous ephemera, and my notes and ideas journal. The bag is a Sherpani Small Messenger Bag with lots of pockets and room for my tablet and Kindle.
Before I left I did paint some of the pages in the journal for a quick start.
Also none of these pages are finished yet.
While in the airports I started creating my own coloring pages.
This was created with the Joyful Sunflower stencil. Colored in with Neocolor Pastels.
Balzer Bit – Daisy
Balzer Bit – Leafy Branch
Here is another page of Sunflowers.
I used Leafy Branch Bit on this page and used the Neocolors. While at my niece’s, I added a Birds Nest with modeling paste and acrylic paints to color in the nest.
The next pages I created on the painted pages I started prior to leaving.
This page I wanted to see what it would look like with lots of Octopus.
I’m loving all the legs.
I love the colors in the background but I only added the Orange Slices stencil to these pages.
The background was created with Spikey Wheels and Mumsy. The stamps are Lavinia Stamps that I bought on vacation.
This page I used Corncob Etching and Random Stars.
I really like the next stencil. It can be used for any background. It’s called Overlapping Stripes. I did pack in the envelope in front of the Dylusions Journal full of ephemera and paper scraps too.
This next page in my favorite and I haven’t finished it yet. The pages are painted black and then I added the Damask stencil also in black. It’s hard to see but I love the way it looks. For the image I added the Angel Wings stencil.
Then with white acrylic paint I added Random Stars and that’s where I stopped.
So that’s what I carried and created on vacation.
No pages are completed yet but someday they will be.
