I recently stumbled across some YouTube videos from a great art journaler from London, Mike Deakin. He uses alot of The Crafter’s Workshop stencils, so of course I wanted to see what he was doing with them!
He hosts a monthly challenge called Mission Inspiration and I decided to create an art journal page using February’s prompts. I also videoed the process for you as well!
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.
I used the 12×12 Whimsy Garden stencil along with flexible modeling paste to create the tree. I tinted the modeling paste with black acrylic paint to get a gray shade. I also stenciled the wing from one of the butterflies on the stencil onto book paper to create the wings for the page.
Finding the words and letters for my quote took forever! I can’t imagine trying to do this for a ransom note! I ended up stamping the words “become” and “remind” just to end the torture.
In the end, however, I love the page and it was great fun to follow the prompts. I’ll definitely be doing the challenge next month!
Thanks for joining me today!
