Blizzard Canvas

Happy Blizzard Saturday! I am definitely snowed in today, so it’s a great time to get some creativity out. I spent last night and this morning working on a large canvas for my fireplace mantle.

This particular canvas has been painted over three times over the last five years. The last painting already had TCW stencils used on it so it was easy to add more!

The previous painting had TCW “Parasols” stencil in modeling paste covering the entire bottom half of the canvas.

I added a lot of TCW “Art Deco Numbers” and “Twigs and Berries” stencils with modeling paste. Once the paste dried I just started finger painting with a variety of blue paints.

I love that you have to look closely to see all the texture and detail. I think it looks pretty good in my living room!
