Hello to all our Crafters workshop fans. I hope this year has been awesome for you all. And that next year brings many wonderful opportunities. Today I’m sharing a little recycled art. I keep tags and labels from all sorts of items. I like to have a wee play with new mediums I purchase. These are my sample tags. So today I am sharing 2 with you. I create a couple of girls on the tags! Using The Crafters Stencils.
This first tag came from a footy jumper and measures 2″ x 5″. It’s really cute I think! All I really did was place the chevron stencil down and swiped texture paste over it, allow to dry. Sprayed some blue ink, allowed that ink to soak in and dry. For extra detail I used one of my favorite techniques, using stazon ink over the mini script stencil. Next was simple just cut out a few shapes and glue, add detail using acrylic paints and gel pens.
“Brave” – tag
Here’s what the tag looked like just after using the chevron stencil and some texture paste. Such a great design you can see why I really wanted to leave that background simple. I love this design and it just pops!

This next one is a big bag tag, its was a typo envelope and had product inside it. I just had to play on this too! To start off with I layered a few different mediums to create some texture. Once that was dry I used the circle explosion stencil design and placed randomly, using texture paste again. Allow everything to dry and then proceeded to create my girl design. I added a quote to this one.
“strong is the new beautiful”

The Crafter’s Workshop – 6 x 6 Doodling Templates – Mini Patterns
You can see here some of the textures I started with. When you look closer at the finished tag you will see pops of texture from the stencil. I also like to used wax crayons over the whole design as it adds extra detail.
Thanks so much for popping by today and I cant wait to share more with you all in the New Year.

Love that you used recycled tags! I actually just saved a few from some clothing I bought. Great idea and love the results.
