So the way I put this together was fun and simple.

Art journaling can be about layers. I started with a layer of gesso just to prep the page. Then I went in with some paints.

Then I grabbed my first stencil I used TCW586.

I love using a make up sponge because I can control where the color goes.

Then I got to working on my modeling paste. I wanted it black and decided to use a gelato for that. 

I mixed some cut off gelato with water.

I got it mixed very well and then added in my modeling paste.

I used the stencil TCW567 with the mixed modeling paste.

Then I grabbed my black gelato again using my finger to rub color into TCW559.

I used some leftover black color with water to add splatter on my page. Then I went back around some of the black parts with a white gel pen for an extra highlight.
