Door Hangers

Hello Everyone, Jen here to show you a quick and easy way to brighten your home decor.

Supplies needed:

1 supplies

  • Wooden door hanger
  • Gesso
  • Paint
  • Palette knife
  • Whipped Spackle
  • Foam paint brush
  • Stencils  (Here I used)  TCW 557 Lace,  TCW 585 Inspired Words,
  • TCW 588 Moroccan Sun

Step 1:

I primed the wooden door hanger with a coat of Gesso. Allow to dry and paint your first layer of color.

Step 2: Painting more layers of color

I did my first layer in Titanium White, then a second layer in Turquoise.

Step 3: Place stencil over door hanger then apply a layer of whipped spackle with a palette knife.

Here I used the NEW TCW 588 Moroccan Sun stencil

Step 5: Adding more color

I was really happy with how this turned out and was thinking of leaving as is but I felt it needed a blast of color so I got out my spray inks.

I decided to use a white paint pen over the inspirational words so they stand out better.
