Hi friends, this is Carmen back with you again to share a vintage inspired art journal page titled “Postage Paid”. I love creating pages with postcards, scripts, letters and anything with letters on it.
I started off by creating a collage of script tissue, postcard ephemera and some scrapbook paper onto my journal page.
I gave the page a light wash with Americana Wasabi Green acrylic paint to tone down the background.
I used stencil TCW202s Mini Harlequin with Americana Houser Medium Green.
TCW 536 Postcard with Americana Gingerbread and Blue Haze Light acrylic paint. I moved the stencil around the page and only used certain elements of the stencil.
And TCW 541s Mini Believe Script with Media Line Black Modeling Paste.
The finishing touch was a small craft envelope glued to the page and a vintage picture of a Victorian family. I stenciled some Harlequin onto the envelope with the Houser Medium Green.
I hope this page inspired you to create today and make sure you check back often for more techniques form our Design Team.
