Keep it Junky!

Hello All!

Keri Sallee here and I am so excited to share my first project as a Crafter’s Workshop Design Team member.

Recently a fellow designer made what she called a “junk journal”, where she made a book that was filled with all sorts of fun different papers.

Today, I want to show you my version of  a “junk journal.”

For this project, I used The Crafter’s Workshop “Hexagon” stencil.

Hexagon Stencil

To achieve the “cut out” designs, I followed these steps

Using your Crafter’s Workshop “Hexagon” stencil, pencil in the design.

Using a sharp craft knife, cut along the edges of you penciled lines. Find a happy medium…too little pressure and it won’t cut through…too much and you will go all the way through your cardboard.

Carefully lift the top layer of your cardboard from your cardboard from your image.

If the top layer doesn’t lift all the way up, use your craft knife to loosen it more and pull the rest of it off.

The inside of my journal is exactly what I wanted it to be….lots of different patterns, textures and sizes.

I can’t wait to use it and have all sorts of messy fun and bring you along for the ride!

Until next time…have a blessed day!

XOXO,

KERI
