Layers of colour canvas

Hi Everyone, Beck BT here again with what is probably the brightest share I have done in a long time.  I just loved building the layers in the canvas with the help of various colours and stencilling.  There was lots of you commenting that you don’t use your reversed chicken wire stencil enough.  It is actually my all time favourite stencil so you see it pop up lots in my work.  I adore how it can add that bit of interest without being too overpowering.  unforgettable canvas For a little depth and interest I added some stencilling with the purple gelato that had been applied through the ‘Mum’s‘ Stencil(TCW259)  and softened with a water brush to the initial layer in the canvas.  You can see it in the background to the yellow area of the canvas. unforgettable canvas step 2 unforgettable canvas detail 3 I use the ‘Mum’s’ Stencil(TCW259) to create the flower like patterning.  I added the pattern with some Whipped Spackle to the background prior to colouring with the Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts Gelatos. unforgettable canvas step 1 I also mixed the pink gelato with their Whipped Spackle colouring it up and then stencilling with the reverse Chicken wire template adding an additional layer of colour.

I really enjoyed teaming up the stencilling using the stencils and lot of colour with the gelatos, they are like a match made in heaven!

I would love to hear how you enjoy layering your stencilling, so please leave a comment to let me know I might have inspired you to add some stencilling in various ways to your project.

Happy Creating!
