Hi there,
Karen here, sharing a card that I created using the Sea Creatures stencil from the new Summer 2014 stencil collection. I absolutely love all of the newly released stencils. They inspire you to create time and time again.
When I received my huge box of lovely stencils, I instantly fell in love with the Sea Creatures (TCW496s) stencil, mainly because of the summer theme and versatility. I can create layouts, cards, tags, and so much more with this beautiful pattern.
The project that I am sharing with you today is a card that I created with loads of texture. It was fun to create as I used some of the older stencils with the new. I love the versatility with TCW’s stencils. The stencils coordinate beautifully together and really compliment each other. Thanks so much to Core’dinations for being so generous with their wonderful products. The Core’dinations cardstock complimented the overall design.
Supplies
Cream Cardstock

Step One: Using foam tool and vintage photo distress ink, transfer Art Is (TCW261s) script to cream colored cardstock layer.
Step Two: Using foam tool and distress inks (Broken China, Crushed Olive, and Wild Honey) transfer Sea Creatures (TCW496s) to cardstock layer.
Step Three: Emboss cardstock using embossing folder and die cut machine. Enhance by applying Vintage Photo ink to raised areas and edges of card layer. Set aside.
Step Four: Emboss Core’dinations cardstock using embossing folder and die cut machine. Sand cardstock with Sand It Gadget to expose the color.
Step Five: Rub Core’dinations Dust Buddy over cardstock to remove excess dust from the sanding. Set aside.
Step Six: Using Sketch Grid (TCW456s) stencil and cosmetic sponge, randomly apply white paint to card layer.
Step Seven: Layer card together using adhesive.
Step Eight: Using Sketch Grid (TCW456s) stencil and cosmetic sponge, randomly apply white paint to word sentiments. Adhere sentiments, buttons, and bow.
