Mix Media on Watercolor – Find Joy

Hello Karenliz here. I have a mixed media project to share. This was created on watercolor paper and using following:

TCW228s – Herringbone
TCW283s – Pomegranate
TCW252s – Aspen Trees
Liquitex Spray Paints
Miscellaneous Rub Ons

To create the background I used the Herringbone and Pomegranate stencils plus the Liquitex Spray Paints.

Once dry I put the Aspen Tree stencil on stop and first sprayed it with black paint and then used a sponge and applied white acrylic paint over the black.  Using both colors gives the trees the a little shading and depth.

The trees aren’t exactly ordinary but I love the quote. It makes you think.  Can you imagine all the colors you can use to create these trees? Go grab your stencil and start creating!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. WOW! that caught me by surprise. love the quote, and the colors with it really makes you take notice and think. but that’s art. inspiring. look at God’;s paint brush, it is of many colors and beauty in all He creates.
