A birthday card by Sanna

Hi there! Are you enjoying the new stencils as much as I am? For this post I created a card for which I used the new “Graceful Flower” stencil.

I first added spray ink splodges all over a white piece of cardstock and let them dry properly.SONY DSC
Then I placed the “Graceful Flower” stencil over the card, taped it down to my working surface with some washi tape. That keeps if from moving around when I´m working.
SONY DSCAfter that I took a reasonably big amount of structure paste and applied it over the stencil. Then I just carefully removed the tape and the stencil and let the background dry.SONY DSC

SONY DSCNow I had this really nice structured background with color splatters peeking thru the flower pattern. I resized it a bit and glued it down on a card base, applied some glitter glue here and there and added the decoration and the sentiment. You could use this same technique for example on a layout background, art journal or on a canvas.
SONY DSCHappy crafting and see you soon!
xoxo, Sanna
