Hi, Karenliz here!
Anyone who knows me (as well as my credit card) knows that I have a large collection, NO, huge collection, of stencils. They are my go-to tool when I start a project. Scrapbooking was never my cup of tea but with stencils it gives me an artistic approach to designing a page I love. The 12″x12″ stencils are my go-to stencils because I love to take a section or a certain image from that stencil for my page. The Abstract Leaves (TCW395) stencil can be used for anything but if you look closely you can see a few seasonal designs.
For this page I used the following, Abstract Leaves (TCW395), Distress Inks, blending tool and a 8.5″x11″ white scrapbook paper.
I needed to design a background that would be a perfect fit for my photos of Lake Michigan. Looking at the stencil I see two leaves that are pefect for a summer layout. Using distress inks and a blending tool I added the leaves in two rows and then added a few splatters of distress inks on the page.
Once the inks were dry, I added my photos, a title and some journaling. These two leaves are perfect for this layout.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy scrapbook page. I know I had fun making it!
I love the page–great use of the stencil images!!
