Good morning TCW Crafters,
Today, I create a pretty girl with a simple dress and leafy fronds in her hair using two stencils and some shimmery turquoise stencil butter. I hope you like what I have created and it brings a little sunshine to your day…. Enjoy!

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…
1 – Begin by painting large shapes into the journal page. Red for the dress, dark blue for the hair and a light pastel mint blue for the background.
2 – Using TCW959 – Rainbow Branch Circle stencil over the red withTCW9002 – Black Gesso to give the dress a gorgeous all-over pattern. Stencil over this black pattern with some of the dark blue from the hair aswell.
3 – Moving up to the hair area, use TCW965 Barberry Buds. Firstly use a light flat colour with the large size of the stencil, then follow that and stencil through with a teal acrylic.
4 – Using a Palette knife (TCW9025) stencil through TCW965 – Barberry Buds again, this time using TCW9064 – Turquoise stencil butter. Dry this layer thoroughly.
5 – To add some details to the hair, stencil through the smallest size of TCW965 – Barberry Buds using a bright magenta purple. Add some final touches with Prismacolors and Carbothello pencils.
6 – Paint over the face in a chosen colour and draw in a face… I try not to pfaff about too much on the video – always impossible – so I have sped it up. If you want to see me draw the face you may need to slow the video down quite a bit!
7 – Finally add a small amount of hand lettering. Any kind of lettering can be added – even stenciled on for the finishing touch
