Happy Wednesday all! Helen here with a little art journal spread I did. It isn’t my typical style, but I wanted to try something new. Sometimes, we just have to play, according to some of my team mates (you know who you are! LOL!). So, I thought I would try something different… and it actually didn’t turn to be the hot mess I thought it would! Not sure I like it yet, but I did spread my wings a bit! Next time I will stick to what I do best!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own.
The Crafter’s Workshop Products used:
- TCW9063 Ocean Blue Stencil Butter
- TCW9067 Gamboge Stencil Butter
- TCW9070 Terre Verte Stencil Butter
- TCW992 Festive Flowers Stencil
- TCW9002 Black Gesso
To start, I placed yummy dots of TCW9063 Ocean Blue Stencil Butter, TCW9067 Gamboge Stencil Butter, and TCW9070 Terre Verte Stencil Butter over parts of the 6” x 6” journal I am using for this. I then finger painted the colours over the entire page.

Next, I used TCW992 Festive Flowers Stencil and sponged TCW9002 Black Gesso over the entire page. I pounced the sponge up and down so it wouldn’t go under the stencil.

A few spots went through, but that is OK I tell myself… I am just “playing”. It doesn’t always have to be perfect! (It actually looks a hot mess though! LOL!!)

So I used some different colour Posca pens and doodled here and there over the page. The doodling did create a page I like, and I am going to use this for a front of a card for a friend’s birthday! We always joke that I can’t just “play” and that she is a hot mess turning 60.. so this turned out OK!

Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!
We would love to see your projects made with TCW products … even if it is a hot mess!

It’s lovely Helen – much more than OK!
Thanks so much Julia!!
This is wonderful. I have “my” style, then there are the “other” styles. Sometimes it’s not a bad thing to dip your toes in the “other” pool. You never know you might have “an-other” pool to swim in. ..Mischelle
Thank you! And that is true about trying other “styles”, but I have learnt that messy is not me! LOL!! And that is perfectly OK!!
