Good Morning all! Helen here with a 3-2-1 project for you today! Just 3 colours, 2 projects, 1 stencil!
It can’t get easier than that!! And a secret, try using 3 colors that are next to each other on the color wheel… that way when you mix your colours, they won’t turn into mud! And because they are next to each other, you can be sure they will blend together perfectly! These are analogous colors and Jaime (our fearless leader) has challenged the design team to use these for our next projects).

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own.
TCW Products Used for these projects:
- TCW9051 Watercolor Paper Pack
- TCW9001 White Gesso
- TCW9065 Stencil Butter Fuchsia
- TCW9067 Stencil Butter Gamboge
- TCW9068 Stencil Butter Marigold
- TCW960 Cosmic Music stencil **NEW**
- TCW2201 Sending Love 4×6 clear stamps
So let’s get started! Before I added any colours, I added a thin layer of TCW9001 White Gesso over a page from TCW9051 Watercolor Paper Pack… forgot the photo but I think this is quite explanatory.
I picked 3 colors that are next to each other on the colour wheel… yellow, orange and pink (a member of the red family). *color wheel image from internet*

I used TCW9065 Fuchsia Stencil Butter, TWC9067 Gamboge Stencil Butter, and TCW Marigold Stencil Butter and added generous dollops of the butters over my entire page. I then used 3 separate baby wipes to spread the butters around.

Once these colours were spread around, I placed a brand new stencil… TCW960 Cosmic Music Stencil in 12” x 12” size over the stencil butters below. I wiped off the exposed butters with another wipe and lifted the stencil off.

Now, take that stencil you just pulled up, and flip it over onto another sheet of TCW9051 Watercolor paper with the “dirty” side of the stencil facing up. I wiped off the stencil onto the paper to clean it with a wipe, and got another paper with the reverse stencil motif on it. 2 for the price of 1.

I cut down the second paper with the wiped off stencil motif into a 4” x 5” piece, stamped a sentiment from TCW2201 Sending Love 4×6 clear stamps and a couple hearts, which I painted with a red Posca pen. I matted these, and have a sweet card to give to someone special!

And of course, I just HAD to make a snarky card for a friend who has recently retired! I used the first paper, added some splatters, my colourful Cuban lady, some washi tape and a snarky sort of sentiment.

There you go… 3 colours, 2 projects and all from 1 brand new stencil! And the colours blend together perfectly!
Thanks for taking the time to see my project for today!
