Art Journal Page – Flower Fairy One Stencil

Hello TCW Crafters

It is wonderful to have lots of stencils to chose from but even if you don’t have a lot of stencils you can still make a fun art journal page. Today I create a pretty art journal page of a flower fairy using JUST ONE stencil. Hope you enjoy how it turns out!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own

The Crafter’s Workshop products used within this project:

TCW948 – Framed Flowers
TCW9002 – Black Gesso

If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly, or you just don’t have much time…. you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.

…here is how the page came together step-by-step…

1 – Beginning with a page that had been painted over with left over colours from previous journal pages. I grab TCW948 – Framed Flowers and stencil through with TCW9002 – Black Gesso across the entire page

2 – Next, I use Dina Wakley Media Gloss sprays and spray onto the same TCW948 – Framed Flowers stencil. This time I turn it over onto a blank white card and stamp the image of the stencil directly onto the page. I fussy cut the large flowers out of this stamped image.

3 – I use a face that I drew onto some kraft paper and stuck that down onto the page. I also attached the fussy cut flower onto the face as a headdress for our fairy

4 – I use watercolor, pencils and paint pens to enhance the image, add shadow and depth and I also add a caption to the left hand side of the page – “Leave room in your garden for fairies to dance”

5 – I add some final splatters across the page and some extra petals from the TCW948 – Framed Flowers fussy cut around the fairies face and call the page done

I do hope you have enjoyed this walk through of my page and the process video. Hopefully it gives you some inspiration to create your own art journal page using TCW stencils and pastes

Enjoy!
