Hello Crafty Friends,

Marie-Christine with you today! I show you the creation of an Art Journal cover. This one is made with “Heartfelt Journal” From Sizzix by Eileen Hull. Once the assembly is complete, you can add interior pages as you go. it will be for another tutorial soon. Here, I used some new stencils, TCW2421 blowing Leaves Sign Stencil and TCW2317 Fence Grid Slimline Stencil.

I start by making the background cover with Distress Oxide.

Then, I add a little water with a spray, but really very little, because that could make the board warp.

Once dry I use TCW2421 Blowing Leaves Sign Stencil with Distress Oxide ink and spray some water very lightly before removing the stencil.

I glue printed paper on the back.

I stamp birds on TCW9051 Watercolor Paper and color with watercolor paint.

I use TCW2317 Fence Grid Slimline Stencil with TCW Stencil Butter Chartreuse.

I adhere masking tape on left side.

Then, I cut out the birds and the title, I glue them on the cover.

I decorate the inside with printed paper and pass the elastic that will be used to add the next pages.
