Happy Monday! I hope you are well!
I have to make multiple cards with the little time I have to create in the week, so today
I will show you how to make five cards with one A4 watercolor paper sheet and ColorSparx pigmented powders. .
TCW provided me with some awesome goodies to play with, but the opinions and creations are my own.
Here is what I used: ColorSparx Sunsplash TCW9056, Ken Oliver Watercolor paper, Versamark ink, WOW gold heat embossing powder, spritz water bottle, sentiment dies, metal dies, acrylic ink.
Step 1: Stamp and heat emboss a leaf stamp multiple times on one A4 sheet.
Step 2: Spritz the whole sheet with water. Turn the nozzle so it’s more of a misty spray. Lightly tap Gamboge and Marigold pigmented powders around onto the paper. If too much powder is concentrated in one spot, lightly spray more water or use a brush to separate the clump.
If the color is dull, you have added too much water. Use a rag and soak up some water. Add a little bit more powder for color. I added Scarlet powder with a brush to the edges of the leaves for a more vibrant look. Let this dry. You can use washi tape to keep the corners down and prevent warping.
Step 4: Cut into four and decorate!
Card 1
I added a stitched frame using a metal die, cut the Warm Hugs die 3 times (one gold and 2 white), and stacked and glued it together. Mounted on an A2-sized gold card stock base onto a top folding card.
Card 2
I wanted the leaves to show more, so I added watered-down white acrylic paints to the center. The white paint turned into a soft yellow which turned out to be the perfect color. I then used Ranger’s Glossy Accents on the leaves. It feels like enamel when dried. I used a stamp and sentiment die from Honey Bee Stamps, popped it onto a brown base, and finished another top folding card.
Cards 3 and 4:
These cards were made by using one A2 piece. I cut out each leaf piece and arranged them around a gold frame made by a metal die. I added a simple sentiment onto a base that was embossed with a folder. Easy peasy.
Card 5 (and my favorite!)
I added Glossy Accents again and waited for it to dry. Then I painted with gray acrylic paint with a brush between the leaves. I added this oversized die from Altenew in gold and stacked it 3 deep. The “Celebrate” was mounted with dimensional foam tape.
Which card do you fancy and will give a try?
I appreciate your feedback and follows!
