“Missing You” Mixed Media Board

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today let’s go to my house by the sea. I created this coastal landscape on a TCW9054 Mixed Media board (12X12) and I used the so wonderful TCW2304 Bricks Vertical Slimline Stencil, TCW904 Petal Burst, TCW860 Lavender, TCW743 Crazy Waves, TCW708 At The Beach, TCW613 Pretty Succulents.

“Missing You” Mixed Media Board

I start by making the background on TCW9054 Mixed Media Board (12X12), with some TCW9057 ColorSparx Poolside ( Cerulean Blue) and some water spray.

I make the grass with TCW9057 ColorSparx Poolside (Lime Green) which I spread with a large brush.

I draw the garden fence with a thick white marker.

I use TCW743 Crazy Waves with some blue Distress Oxide to represent the sea and waves.

I decorate the sky with TCW904 Petal Burst and TCW9005 White Modeling Paste.

I draw the house on TCW9051 Watercolor paper, paint it with watercolors and cut it out. I add bricks on the roof with TCW2304 Bricks Vertical Slimline Stencil and TCW9005 White Modeling Paste.

I stamp the flowers with TCW2202 Love you 4X6 Clear Stamps and I draw the small boats. I color them with watercolors and cut them out.

I create a palm tree with TCW708 At The Beach and TCW Chartreuse Stencil Butter, TCW Lime Green Stencil Butter. After drying, I cut it. I finish the house by stamping a heart with TCW2201 Sending Love Clear Stamps. I glue it on the Mixed Media board. I also glue the palm tree on one side. I finish by adding flowers on the other side with TCW860 Lavender , TCW613 Pretty Succulents and TCW Fuchsia Stencil Butter, TCW Orchid Stencil Butter, TCW Lime Green Stencil Butter. I draw the path that I color with watercolor paints.

I glue the flowers on the grass and the boats on the sea. I add small pink dots in the palm tree. I stamp the title with TCW2202 Love You Clear Stamps.

Some more details.

When I create on a Mixed Media board, it always tends to warp slightly. So that it stays in shape, I put it in a press when it is finished and very dry. For that, I use what I have on hand, either big dictionaries or books!

Here is the result, thanks for stopping by today, I hope my tutorial inspired you! Do not hesitate to leave me a small comment, thank you!
