Hello Crafty Friends,
Today, it smells of Spring with this mixed media creation. I made it on a TCW9054 Mixed Media Board 12X12 with TCW831 Faithful Tree and TCW807 Script Dots stencils.

I start by making the background with some Rice Papers that I glue on TCW9054 Mixed Media Board 12X12 with TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium.
When it’s dry, I pass a light layer of TCW9007 Clear Gesso.
I continue by positioning TCW831 Faithful Tree 12X12 on TCW9054 Mixed Media Board 12X12 and I use TCW9061 Chartreuse Stencil Butter, TCW9062 Lime Green Stencil Butter and TCW9070 Terre Verte Stencil Butter to highlight the color.
I use TCW807 Script Dots with some pink Distress Oxide at the bottom right of the board.
I add some more green and blue Distress Oxide inks.
I cut out butterflies found on Pinterest, adhere them onto a white card stock, and apply a layer of TCW9052 Super Thick gel to give them a shine. I cut them after drying.
A little tip by the way: I always keep my small cutouts, so I found a small tray to keep them safe before sticking them on my creation!
I do some small black ink spots and glue the butterflies into the tree. i draw some doodles on the leaves with a black marker.
I stamp some flowers with TCW2208 precious sentiments Clear stamps. i put color with watercolor paints. Always in my little tray!
I glue the flowers and cut strips of paper to make the stems. I add some stamping .
I stamp the title on a small square of watercolor paper coloured in pink, with TCW2209 Beautiful Sentiments Clear stamps and add a little quote near the tree.

So pretty! I noticed you may have stitched some of the pieces with a sewing machine…or at least it looks like a zigzag or other stitch on the stems. Did you add rickrack? It might be sharpie marks. I love the idea with the flowers behind everything and the butterflies. Totally awesome!
