Hello again TCW friends!
I recently purchased some beautiful large kraft tags, so I decided today to use a number of the NEW TCW ‘Valentina’ stencils and clear stamps designed by Valentina Harper to create some mixed media tags. Watch as they come to life!
– The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own –

If you enjoy seeing a page come together quickly you can just go ahead and watch the process video below. Captions within the video will tell you what products I have used along the way.
Here is how the tags came to be…
1 – Beginning with blank kraft tags as a substrate, I used a variety of the NEW TCW ‘Valentina’ stencils along with pink, apricot and white acrylic paint. I used: TCW927 – Cactus Dahlia; TCW929 – Felicia Daisy; TCW930 – Cupped Daffodil; TCW931 – Collarette Dahlia & TCW932 – Peruvian Lily
2 – I sponged through the paint with makeup sponges, pink at the top, apricot and white towards the bottom and I mix the colours whilst I stencil.
When stenciling through a stencil, apply the paint to the sponge and then dab off the excess paint… almost all of it, in fact. A little goes a long way. You can always go over the stenciling a number of times with light paint layers to build up the color, rather than trying to stencil with one pass and have the paint leak under the stencil.
3 – Whilst the backgrounds are drying, Stamp out a variety of the NEW ‘Valentina’ clear stamps. I used sets: TCW2207 – Happy Sentiments; TCW2208 – Precious Sentiments; TCW2209 – Beautiful Sentiments; TCW2210 – Uplifting Sentiments
4 – I next do some mark-making with Stabilo Woodys in 2-3 colors and I edge each tag with Archival Ink – Potting Soil
5 – I fussy cut all the stamped images out… and colored them with pencils, watercolors and acrylic paint pen. I tried to keep my colors simple, using only 3
6 – I used double sided foam squares to mount the fussy-cut images onto the kraft tags
7 – I finish off each tag with a single word sentiment
I do hope you have enjoyed this walkthrough of my latest mixed media tag project . Hopefully, it gives you some inspiration to create your own page using the NEW TCW ‘Valentina’ stencils and clear stamps
