Adore Mixed Media Layout

Good morning everyone! I hope all is well! Today I’m sharing a fun mixed media layout I created using the TCW764 Numbers Scramble, ColorSparx, TCW9051 Watercolor Paper and the TCW2204 When it Rains Clear Stamps. I just love how vibrant this layout is. It totally makes me happy and I hope it brings a smile to your face!

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with product the create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To begin, I cut a piece of patterned paper to measure 8 1/2×11. Then I cut the watercolor paper to measure 7 1/2×10 and mounted it to the center of the patterned paper. Next, I added a few drops of the TCW9055 Orchid ColorSparx mixed with about a table spoon of water. Then I splashed it all over the watercolor paper. I like using watercolor paper, rather than white cardstock because the watercolor paper really holds the color and it gives the ink a nice look! Where as the cardstock would just soak up the colors and it isn’t as pretty.

I used a paper towel to dab off the excess ink.

I repeated the same process with the TCW9058 ColorSparx Fuchsia and Turquoise Color Sparx.

Once I was satisfied with the background. I placed the TCW764 Numbers Scramble stencil over the watercolor paper and then I used a blending brush to blend in the ink over the numbers.

Isn’t this background beautiful?! I love it so much. If I had to do it all over again, I’d add the orange at the bottom because most of it got covered up during the embellishment process.

I decided to use black ink to make the stars pop off the page. These stars can be found in the TCW2204 When it Rains Clear Stamps set!

What do you think? Isn’t this such a fun layout!? What is your favorite mixed media product these days? Or what do you want to try experimenting with? Share it with us in the comments!

Thanks so much for visiting today!
